Bailiff Family

John Bailiff was the head forester for the Ramsden family of Byram Park. At least five of his son’s had military service and the one that died is recorded on the Brotherton War Memorial. Some details of the Bailiff family’s service in World War One were also found at Ronald Addyman’s account of the Burton Salmon Millennium Exhibition of Local History and Memorabilia
